FatedSaviour·7/28/2017, 2:23:37 AM·6 votes·1,308 views

(if this is the wrong board tell me and i will move)

simple, if you think how you found your main is a good story, do tell, if not, enjoy other's stories

i found what was my main (im inbetween mains now) sion, because i got first blood on him as garren, then his passive killed me and i was so amazed by it (this was season 5) EDIT: i got an idea for this post by someone else's post (cant remember who), but it was something like how did you choose your username, you should check it out, its great

"Hey, what about that blue-haired girl with the guns?" - Midnight Oil24, right before picking Jinx in a match. Highest mastery

"Nice, free champ and skin!" - Midnight Oil24, getting Tristana from the facebook thing. Second highest mastery.

Well, I quickly discovered that I suck at this game, so I figured that if I was going to be dying a lot, I might as well main a Champion whose death sounds I would enjoy hearing often.

Hence, Ahri

I started playimg right before kindred was released. Then when she was announced I made my decision. Her lore, with wolf just amazes me. No matter how strong or weak she was or ever will be she's my main. #kindredmainforlife

Only cared about looks, I didn't want some guy with a sword running at people like an idiot. More like someone who looks down on others or doesn't want to get close in-game cause I thought that looked cool. That led me to

Fiddlesticks Very first champion I bought, I remembered "learning" how to clear waves with him by draintanking the canon and then Eing the rest of them. Veigar My very first main, carried me through bots :^) Syndra Nobody played her so I was like "hey why not" and my first champion to m7. Orianna Then a couple weeks later while playing in bots I found an Orianna bot (Who may be removed from the game now as a bot??) who I've never seen before, I had absolutely no idea WHO this champion was. She looked really weird and whenever I used my Veigar stun around her she shielded herself. "WTF how??? What does she even do?!?" I bought her, and then refunded her because she was extremely hard. In bot and norms I couldn't land any of her abilities because of her Q travel time which was really frustrating.

Cassiopeia All my friends were kinda bad and I was looking for something called a hypercarry, I read in a guide that Cassiopeia was known to carry games in like season 5 or the beginning of season 6 (I started playing at the ryze rework) so I bought her and she was a good carry, got the job done. Orianna Around this time I think I learnt how to play Orianna and spammed her along with Syndra. I fell in love with her lore.

Karthus He looked cool and floated, the only reason why I didn't buy him right away when I started is because cooldowns weren't in the item sets, so I thought his Q was extremely weak and in the little ability video his E did like 0 damage. I wanted someone else who looked a little cooler later...

#Dundundundun Daaaaaa

Azir He looked cool and had people do his work for him. Carried me all through bronze, silver, gold, and will soon take me to plat :)

I've played since S2 and I've had a lot. But here's some fun ones.

Trynd: My first real main. I always liked top best back when it was an island and this guys kit was something I loved. It's harder than it seems to pull off a great play. Back before Darius came out there were few answers to a good trynd. But after Dar was out trynd fell out of favor for me.

Sion (old): I transitioned to TT around here. And somehow I found the old Sion. His kit was like a wet dream come true. 5k hp by 40 min. 300ish dmg. 160% life steal. 2.0 attack speed. Plus 30ish% crits. This guy owned TT. Then I took him to the rift top and there was no answer to it. I won more than 90% of my lanes and if it got to late game I could 1v4, and even 1v5. I am still spiteful about the rework on him and how it butchered my play style. I cannot play the new version without getting tilted.

Thresh: When Thresh was announced I was instantly hooked on the concept. A tabby support who could outplay and hold their own I'd the acc DC's. I got the champion the moment he came out and I played him to death. I was one if the first to do ad Thresh, I carried with him in TT. I then started building him a lot tankier than the meta. I still do that as he's my main still even after all these years. The moment mysteries came our 4 out of 5 games I had an S+ on him since I was practically a one trick by then. And even now with how his counters are nerfed I get an S on him more often than not.

Vel: When Vel was shown I loved the idea of a creepy tentacle monster who had great range and loved knowledge above all else. As a supp main by the time he came out that's where I play him. Last season my supp Vel carried me our of bronze with a 78% win rate at one point. And now I take him when Thresh is banned or taken away. He's a surprisingly good pick in supp. He has a slow and a knock up. Not the best kit to help out. But he puts out a ton of dmg and often times I can keep the enemy adc and supp under tower so my adc can just farm. His range and poke make him a strong pick against many supports who's job is to lock someone down like Leona and blitz and even thresh. While his so scaling makes him comparative in dmg to dmg based supports too. It's always a great time going vel against a blitz since every time he tries to run at me to hook I q and he's slowed an then his e slows him more and he never gets in range and never becomes a threat.

I was a Yi main, but my brother was too, so I picked Jax when we played together, and then I was a Jax main.

I got sick of getting smashed by assassins. I remembered that Malzahar always gave me a hard time when I played Kat, so I went with him. That was 2 years ago.

When I first started playing LoL, the first champion I ever played was Garen (My 1st Main). Me being a noob, I instantly hated Garen so much, and quit League for like a month just because I hated Garen

I decided to start playing again, but made a new account. Since I had to level it up and such, the character I decided to play was Garen. After playing him more, I feel more in love with him and started to Main him.

Then, one day, somebody stole Garen from me. Heartbroken, I decided to check the free champions of the week, and decided to pick the coolest one. So, I chose Jhin (my 2nd Main) And I just played so much of Jhin. So yeah

I Main Swain7/28/2017, 5:36:02 AM1 votes

i found my main when i got him in aram on his free week like 3 or 4 years ago, went like 20 7 13 or something like that. i loved the concept, loved the lore, and when i brought him to summoners rift i was consistently able to do well considering i was new with him because nobody played him at the time so nobody knew how to deal with a swain. although ill add that atm hes not my "pure main" though (if that makes sense) since i came back to league recently and there were some changes. we'll see how his rework

I have no regrets.

This is the conversation I had with my brother, who has been playing League for longer than I have.

item 3632 "There's a character in League of Legends played by the same guy that played Axel in Kingdom Hearts." {{summoner:35}} "What's his name?" item 3632 "Jhin, I think." {{summoner:35}} "Okay.... How do you spell it?" item 3632 "I don't fucking know."

After a week or so of consideration, I told my brother I was making a League account, to which he replied 'okay go ahead I don't care'. After a week or so of farming bot games with free rotation champs, I got Jhin. However, I wasn't completely in the dark with him. I was practicing him on my brother's account before I got him. These days I'm mastery 5 with him. I've only just started playing draft norms again(I was playing ARAMs to better my PvP skills but with all the bots these days there's no point) so I'm not mastery 6.... Yet.

Jhin "Now if only they could stop banning me so we can paint the rift red."

(Me) Completely new at the game, minding my own business and feeding hard as usual "Hey woah, is that a giant bear?" (Friend) "Yeah that's Annie and Tibbers. Annie's squishy but Tibbers is really tanky" (Me) That is awesome. Immediately buys her after the game with Riot's old free 500 RP 1.57 million Annie points later "I regret nothing"

HeimerLmao7/28/2017, 8:22:43 AM1 votes

Before the story, I played League for like a year, had 2 years of break, and started again in early 2k16.

Well it was something around september 2k16, it was one for all on RGM. My team picked Kata (pre-rework). I couldn't play her at all, but then... I saw enemy team pick Heimer. We got absolutely dunked, to the point it was 28/0 when they ended the game. I decided to check about the champion on Youtube. First thing I saw was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIKlaq2wBqA This day I found both my main and MagikarpUsedFly. I will regret finding one of them for entire life. Guess which...

I started in Season 0.

My mains, oldest to current.

Morgana MissFortune (upon release) Fiora (upon release) MissFortune (upon Fiora Rework)

I'm sure you can understand all 3. Fiora's rework left her kit in a state where I still don't want to main her.

I main Evelynn, now I play a lot of aram, too much for my own good. One rotation a long while ago Evelynn strode onto the scene, in the said Aram game I got her, and something clicked, this beautiful blue skinned vixen, was in almost cliched fashion the perfect champion for me. I proceeded to buy her with rp, no regrets I allowed her lovely laugh and wicked smile pop my rp cherry. I have never regretted anything.
