Why an income item is important.

item 3097 if you're melee. item 3096 if you're ranged but no harass. item 3098 if you're ranged and harass.

im sorry but sometimes It just doesn't cut it. Unless we manage off some early kills, and therefore I grab some assist gold I really don't know how I'm supposed to upgrade it,, buy a sightstone, and still manage to grab a sunfire, rod of age or whatever item that would normally be first in your build. Junglers complain about the potion tax a lot but I honestly feel that supports have to invest a lot of gold into their role while getting probably the least amount of gold for it.

The worst is when you initiate for your ADC and the jungler comes to help, but the ADC backs off, and when asked why, the ADC says, "Well, I only need CS to get items."

Sunfire and RoA aren't support items. Sightstone, gold item(full upgrade), Righteous glory(if you didn't take talisman), and oracle's is all you need. Everything else is a luxury. You might need mikael's if their team has a lot of CC but it's not even that expensive.

well for me the main supps I play are Sej and Swain. Kinda goes like annie supp. You invest in offensive items a little more. And trust me roa isnt a luxury when it's helping us win the game. That what I don't get, why are items that'd help you kill the enemy seen as a luxury? Ik i'm not the main adc but I see no reason why I shouldn't pick up some dmg myself.

How are they not luxury items? You don't need them to win the game and a quicker IE on the adc is far more important than a quicker blasting wand on a support. You can pick up some damage but only after you get the items you absolutely NEED. You can steal cs only if it's not going to hurt the adc(which it will unless it's 50 mins and he has full build or you're just shoving the lane after he recalls or dies).

It's not bad to get sightstone into haunting guise+sorcs on Annie early if you're ahead and you'll have enough gold to get your talisman anyway. It is bad to do that if you won't be able to get sightstone+talisman by the time your team starts grouping.
