Elo Hell does exist.

So I recently got demoted to Bronze V and I quickly got to my Promos. On my first promo game, Mordekaiser and Yi began trolling. Second round, our Shen had to leave to cook dinner so we were 4 vs 5ing for around 20 minutes. Our Akali and Blitzcrank got fed up and left as well. It was me and Miss Fortune versus the entire enemy team. My question is how do you carry this crap?

idk, a challenger player probably couldn't do it. A challenger player that somehow is in bronze, is probably stuck there forever. Thank the lord Imaqtpie isn't stuck there and is in an easier bracket (challenger) to climb in. Cuz if you don't have 100% win rate, you can't climb.

Technically even if you had a 51% winrate if you played enough games you would eventually climb out.

yyyyup... and if you start winning too much matchmaker will always put you with these people because your "MMR is too high", effectively preventing you from EVER leaving bronze.

coming to these forums about this is pointless. here soon anyone in gold or higher is gonna come in here and give their age old advice "git gud". i agree with you, to a point ello hell exists. I got to say tho from last year when I stopped playing for 10 months to now I came from a 40% win-rate to 50.5% and climbing. in bronze 3 currently I;ve been out of B5 for a month now, longest I;ve ever held out of it. I still have my troll games example, someone got auto filled and when no one would trade him he went kait support and said he was gonna troll the whole game. This was during my final win i needed in my promos. it's been a slow climb but I truly feel I;ve gotten much better and I am actually making progress up through ello hell

I went from bronze 5 to gold 4 in about 2 months, and all I did was get lucky with teammates (having the unlucky games is the elo hell, these games never go away until youre really high) and try and improve your map play, mechanics and stick with one roll and just try to carry. Actual bronze players are about as good as intermediate bots, so just do what I do every day to warmup and go 1v5 intermediate bots in customs. By doing this you get better at last hitting and some other things. Bots don't help everything but it does help.

what he said about maining a role. I always thought that would be boring [playing only one role over and over. Well i decided to give it a try these past couple weeks. I main adc with jhin or jinx if he gets banned or chosen. I am on a HOT STREAK. Playing as jhin over and over I am getting a better feel for his power and I have actually been a decent carry. I recommend picking a role and your fave champ for ranked games. it does make a world of difference.

It was fine in BRONZE 4 people weren't too toxic and didn't troll that much. But out of my first four matches in Bronze 5 I already have gotten 3 afk teammates and two trollers.

Wouldnt there be about the same amount of trolls/afks/feeders on the enemy teams on average?

Vizulix1 votes

Yes the percentage chance is the same, but that does not mean there will be the same average amount on the enemy team. For example if you flip a coin ten times will the number of heads and tails be the same? No, luck affects that as well as matchmaking. I hope that answers your question.

deoje2991 votes

But if you play enough games shouldn't it even out? For example if you flip a coin only 10 times, odds are it can be quite uneven, but if you flip it 1000 times it will be every close to 500 heads and tails alike. Likely there would be more of these types of people on the enemy teams than yours since they have 5 people who could be trolls/feeders, but you only have 4 on yours. (Since you would not be one of these.)

Nah that's a common myth. The number of samples does not change the percentage of getting a heads or tails.
