his ultimate ap scaling wasn't his identity but i'm not sure about the new ultimate effect, i think it will be overkill on non-tank target but we will see

not what I was talking about

I meant his whole "DELETE!" identity, I'm perfectly fine with the enemy ap scaling removal, but changing the ult from a burst move to squishies into an execute and tank-killer...

The execute part isn't too bad since it caps at 33% and both the ult ap scaling and base damage scale with missing health, it will help out his midgame since a q-w combo will not delete the enemy yet and so his ultimate will be very effective but i hoped for something better. At least that will make veigar able to be at least a decent pick without riot nerfing him for his "anti-fun" ultimate

It looks to be very redundant. If someone is low enough to maximize Primordial Burst's damage, they were probably going to die anyway.

The new thing on his ult is useful early game but by late game, he can easily one shot almost any squishy(not to mention that he will get AP for harassing as well). So it sort of becomes less useful late game.

Other than this Veigar got some nice buffs to his mana costs

I think redundant is kind of the point. If his ultimate was just enough to kill the target a well timed shield or lifeline passive could save them. Kind of like Garen ult you get a lot of execute to make double sure they are dead.

Eh, not necessarily. Without the mana regen passive, and the changes to mana overall, it'll actually be trickier for him to harass early game. Though I suppose he could make up for it mid and late game, but that's a pretty iffy gamble.

They also reduced most of his mana costs, because they figured the only reason his costs were so high was because of his passive.
