Who the hell decided insults should be graded on how much shock factor they use? Shock factor is cheap, generally impersonal, and bland. A well-weathered person like me derives absolutely no pleasure from appeals to shock factor. I like creative, literate insults that are poetically accurate. In that sense, I find calling someone a child/synonym for child/immature to be a perfectly suitable insult in various ways and situations. If you think insulting anyone over the internet in any way is ever supposed to make you look like a badass, let alone insulting someone with the same default/tired shockfactor shit ("kill yourself") like a gradeshooler who just discovered 4-chan, you are going about it all wrong.
That being said. I don't actually insult people in game, that would get me banned. I don't know why I'm talking like I condone it., but I'm a pretty good trashtalker outside of this game where I can't get banned for it.
Kid is a funny insult cause it only insults kids.
Thus you know that when it's thrown out, it's by some kid who thinks he's being clever.
(Or yanno, a juvenile 20+ year old who will one day, maybe, grow up)

I like it because I'm almost 34, and the chances that they're older than me are slim.

For the most part its dumb especially if its due to in game decisions (whether you're 8 or 80 you might just be newer to the game). Sometimes I think its actually warranted though like if you've ever had that guy spamming in caps. Maybe its just me but I always picture a kid that never learned to use an indoor voice or keep his/her cool. By losing your cool you add fuel to a bad situation and it reminds me of the little kids in the grocery store throwing a tantrum over mommy not buying them a candy bar.
I'm always like, "Yes, I do have parents."

I get all sarcastic ans say some like this "Oh no you said the "k" word." They usually don't say anything after that for a while or change the subject real quick. Sarcasm my my greatest weapon in this game. Some of the things people say is mind blowing.
