When the enemy top laner see's you going top with Taric

something I have learned over years of playing this game is not to underestimate strange picks, those are normally the ones to watch out for. remember this phrase:

If it can go tanky support, It can go top as well.

one time the enemy team was all AD so i went taric top against a Vi. I made the Vi leave the lane and i had 500 armor before 25 minutes. I couldnt die it teamfights. it was glorious

Weaknesses of cheese picks isn't that they can't hold top. Their problem is that enemy can basically free farm and be more useful in teamfights or objective control.

Lets say I pick Jarvan into your Taric and we have 200 cs each with 2/2/0. You will not push me out of lane if I have lifesteal. I am harder to gank, I can jump your carries and evaporate them even if they flash. I can initiate better than you i can disengage better than you, I can chase better than you...

If we both have tps I will have way more impact even if im down in gold.

Yes, I will not kill you but you will not be my primary target in teamfights anyway. You can have your 300 armor. My apc will deal with you later.

People underestimate the outrageous nature of taric's gameplay. They got no idea what an outrageous laning phase they will spend with taric.

In s3 ranked I almost exclusively played toplane Taric. I wound up getting as high as plat! Fun times, fun times.

Taric was different back then; instead of being such a beefcake, his biggest perk was his spammable Q (Q -> auto -> Q -> auto --> Q -> etc.) - he could keep any one teammate (and himself) indefinitely alive during teamfights, which was awesome. Much like how he could heal all teammates passing by him whenever. And how his heal was in general. Man, that heal...

Like dang, Imbue used to be freakin' amazing when it was on a short cooldown when maxed out! Now that's gone and he's mostly tank&spank. And, like other people here are saying, if he does no damage lategame he gets rekt in teamfights, so you better be able to spank really hard; max out CDR and get dat Triforce.
