Overwatch isn't really a replacement for League. It's fun and all but it's a different enough game that I don't see it being a true replacement.

i didnt like the global experience and i dont understand the skill system, seemed like every champ has 100 abilities.... i dont get it

i dont know why i feel in love with lol, something like starting every game at lv1 (wut? i'm pretty sure i ended last game at lvl 16) and had to get gold and buy items seemed exciting to me. too bad it's asking for a divorce if i dont agree to be in a Ménage à cinq

The whole thing about HOTS is that it revolves around actual teamwork rather than the one who has more gold has more items and therefore is stronger.

I personally never seen a team who's overall 3 to 4 levels behind the enemy team make a comeback in League. In HOTS, not only it´s possible, but also quite common.

I prefer the global levelling system as well as the talent system.

The first because there isn´t a true carry. Even a support hero can carry with the proper talent choosing, shrine taking, etc, etc, etc.

Basically every map is a TT with three lanes and camp monsters fight for you when defeated, which makes laning diversity something pretty big.

Hero builds in HOTS as well as their kits are easier to balance too due to the lack of items. There are no means for a hero to become stronger rather than farm, kill and just level up in general.

Overwatch adds new things(that contribute to the balance of the game) through new characters; and that'll lead to "meta"champs, and, of course, the common Blizzard balancing issues, although they have done a solid job of balancing in HoTS.... for the most part.

And it kinda gets boring fast.

Meta is already kinda building, Bastion is the hated, powerful champ (Lee Sin/Riven/Yasuo/Zed type of thing), McCree is high tier, you have some lower tier characters (winston)

I can't play OW, the ping is too bad for me and I got a refund. Still searching for a LoL replacement. Dota2 is too similar and HotS is too casual. Maybe the next Battlefield.

Smite is too boring for me, i also don't like how you have to aim auto attacks on tanks that already do no damage....( aim 9 auto attacks to take 5% of enemy hp are you kidding me). Also half the gods have the same kits as league champions.

To be fair, League seems to copy a lot of stuff from Smite actually.

Champ mastery? Smite had that first. Ekko ult? Smite got that first (Pretty much) Bard Portal? HELLO JANUS!

And theres more things. League has original things, I just feel like Smite has more originality sometimes.

They have Auto-attack based mages, 3 of them. League doesnt have that.

Wich is a shame, because I main two of these AA-based mages in Mmite and I miss that here Amumu

Too much AD? The only "ad" item she builds is item 3124 , and that's an AP item as well, everything else is pure AP and AS.

"too much ad" as in the amount of damage she does is mainly AD. She may scale well off AP, but you mainly build AD/Hybrid.

AA mage would be a champion that does a lot of AP with a lot of autos and doesn't build any AD. The main kayle builds right now are AS. Teemo doesn't build any AD items. Bard doesnt build any AD items. They count.

I've played both, both are good, but I burnt my self in both. Especially WF, my account should still have like 700 gold cores, a shit tone of platinum and fully upgraded primed mods. I leave when Volt prime was released and never felt like coming back.

I'm one of those that left for Overwatch (except for the occasional rotation queue or if my brother asks me to play), and I do still want to play League. I want it to improve and become fun for me again. But as long as it doesn't then my goal is to find something else fun to fill my time. Not necessarily a moba, but just something ELSE where I feel more in control of whether I win or lose.

That being said I hold no grudge against people who aren't as frustrated with the game as I am and still find enjoyment from League. And I'll always enjoy a good URF mode. Varus too op. :)

I cant believe i am going to say this, ds 3 is the most inferior of the all 3 titles. It certainly is the prettiest but man did they fail on DS is supposed to be.

the game felt really short and ng+ is missing the add on power mobs. The game ranges from being easy to time to grind out some levels or upgrade your weapon, it misses the smooth power curve. Sure you can just do 0 level up run for super difficulty but that is setting the bar to high for me personally.

I really miss how in DS2 their were red mobs everywhere on the new game plus and some of the mobs moved to a new location. It made the 2nd play through more interesting.

I am currently grinding out all of the achievements but frequently have to stop cause i am bored on 3rd play through.

Kinda funny cuz it's already been announced that they're gonna use Dynamic Queue for their Ranked playlist lol. BUT they do have voice comms so I think that's why people are being way more chill about it.

Well it should concern you, on twitch they maintain about 50k viewership and that is without the ranked competition modes available yet, and it DOES hold the attention the same way league used to in terms of watching it which makes the target audience the same as leagues.

Yes and no.

Viewership and playerbase, right now, could be because the game is new. And while there's no "Ranked competition mode", the game does have tournaments going on. Bear in mind before you go "LMAO U JUST HATE OVERWATCH", I'm a huge fan of this game. It's the first game that's legit held my attention since League.

What scares me for Overwatch is Blizzard. Blizz, in the past, have not always been on the ball when it comes to eSports. See HotS and SC2. When they start enforcing what competitive play is, such as saying there's a 1 hero limit or that you have to play on XYZ maps, that's when things get worrisome. To top it off, Blizzard has to keep a stream of updates going on. I'm not sure how well Blizz can do this but fingers crossed.

Overwatch has a TON of potential but right now most of the hype and enjoyment is from being a new game hyped up since 2014. Time will tell if this is the new CS:GO....or the new Titanfall.

This pretty much sums up all concerns I have for it.

I can't see myself stopping playing OW anytime soon, and with word of the Ranked Mode coming that's gonna keep me hooked.

Let's just hope that Blizz finally learns from past mistakes with competitive play, because that will be what kills the game's longevity. (among other things of course)

I'm interested in seeing if Overwatch has any potential when it comes to e-sports. I wonder how enjoyable spectating it will be, part of the reason league is so enjoyable to spectate is because of the top down view.

Overwatch is a lot of running around and killing where Winning and losing doesn't matter. It's also a lot harder to coordinate with the team if you're playing without friends. It's fun, but it's different than league

I've been playing Overwatch for about a week now, I don't intend to come back to LoL until they fix their dynamic queue or bring back solo queue. I've been having a blast and taking a good vacation from the toxicity here. I might never actually come back.
