I feel like the problem is less with support MF and more with not-actually-a-support MF - that MF player who picked it support thinking "yesss, I can finally play an ADC support" and just builds them AD/AP without any support items. I mean yeah, you're not gonna want to rush locket as Support MF, but you should still make sightstone...

I actually think Ezreal is a better ADC "support" since he has ASPD steroid and more AP damage (he can contribute a ton of AP poke from the support role, surprisingly?), if we wanna talk about who actually contributes to lane. AP MF Support works out for much the same reason, except instead of the ASPD steroid she brings Black Cleaver+ultimate synergy.

as ap, only in the early game, but since her scalings are shit now, she can't keep up in mid and late game :( ap mf in aram used to be so fun :(

Nope, her ult is physical dmg. The abilities use must do spell damage as far as i know. Her only magic damage ability is her E which already slows.

spell damage =/= magic damage.

spell damage == damage done by a spell. It doesn't matter whether it's physical or magical... or at least last time I checked. If that's wrong, thanks Rito for more built-in misnomers. -.-

Spell damage is just damage dealt by using a(n) spell/ability, regardless of the damage type.

I forget which name is which for Fortune's E and R (they're fairly interchangeable), so I'll answer both. :P

E: Scales with Ability Power only, and deals only magic damage.

R (And Q): Scales with both Attack Damage and Ability Power, but it deals only physical damage.

The worst thing than a support not building sightstone is teammates who don't use their trinkets.

Which, imo, is likely more common and less noticeable.

Then again, I may be biased since I always build sightstone, so it's not like I have much chance to observe seeing others not build it sans enemy.

Also, how come the jungler is never pressured to build item 3711 or sightstone as well, particularly tanks (do not cite the obvious exceptions like Master Yi!)? Aren't they supposed to sacrifice some carry ability to help the team out too?
