Why is that? A lot of reworked champions have turned out to be very cool. has a new explosion on his passive and I think it's pretty dope Fiora is a lot better that she used to be, no more R ftw silliness Gangplank is pretty similar but the barrels do add a lot to his gameplay that Raise Morale didn't Graves despite being kind of obnoxious, is really cool and fits thematically now Malzahar again, fits more thematically and overall seems better than before Nidalee doesn't just win by throwing spears now Poppy WAY better now I think, before her gameplay was pretty unhealthy Quinn I kind of miss Valor but at the same time becoming melee wasn't that great Ryze The ult is cool, and he is way healthier than he was 5 reworks ago Sion Probably my favorite, you can hardly compare this to pre-rework sion Yorick Hey look, it's Yorick in the free rotation... Zyra Actually uses plants now and has a passive (sorta)

I know some have turned out meh or goofy, Cassiopeia Corki Fizz Kassadin Shen Soraka Taric Vladimir , but I can't even say any of these champions are BAD. In need of more work, sure, but I wouldn't say they are dead.

Better for game or lcs are not always better for players that used to main them.

Also some of them are just new champions with old name = old champion is dead. For example you will never be able to play old sion again and there were players that really loved thier undead potato.

I Think that only old sion was different enough from the rework that they could bring him back and slap a new name and no one would notice, and even then they brought much of what old sion was known for. (His shield, infinite health)

I understand that reworks are rather disappointing, especially if they happen to your main, but it pays to remember that at one point before their reworks, these champions were either gutted to avoid becoming OP ( Poppy Soraka Kassadin Urgot ) or were so statistically inferior that using them would bring accusations of being a troll ( Karma Skarner Ashe Yorick )

Riot was putting these old champs down like a dog with a terminal illness. The replacement may not be better, (and in some cases a second rework is necessary. cough**cough Ryze cough) But ultimately its for the better.
