Trinity force is still core on him. The barrels apply the 200% base AD sheen proc, so I doubt GP will ever stop buying the item. I take 10% flat cdr in my runes, and I'll rush a Ghostblade second if the enemie team consists of mainly squishy champions. If they have a bunch of tanks/tanky champions, I'll just go IE second with CDR boots. Usually, Stattik Shiv is next.

So, against squishy teams: item 3078 item 3142 item 3031 item 3087 item 3009 (or other situational boots) Against less squishy teams: item 3158

Once that core is completed I'll start looking at situational items like item 3156 item 3036 item 3033 item 3053 item 3046 item 3812 item 3026 As far as ult upgrades go, I prefer upgrade item 3902 first because at that point of the game, you want to help your team make picks and what not. item 3901 gives a ton of damage in a teamfight, but when you get your first ult upgrade, you propably won't be teamfighting a lot.
