What happens when you queue Support/Fill

(Although, once, I did do this, and SOMEHOW I got adc... my worst role.... we somehow won that game.... I was sivir, and went something like 0/25/4. It wasn't pretty, but we won to get our Kayle into silver 4.)

I main support in every MOBA. I like support. If I put Support primary with Fill secondary, I seem to get random roles with support only like a third of those results.

The way everyone complains and Riot paints it out, I should just always get support in that case, but no, I have to pretty much put mid as secondary to get the role I want even fairly consistently. And let's not even discuss how I've gotten top with Support/Mid selected.

Welcome to the Boards!

With autofill, support primary players and secondary players are now getting support less because there are more players in the queue for support. This is bad for the players who wanted a basically guaranteed support position by going support primary, but good for the overall queue, because now players can now more safely put support primary, support secondary, or fill and not be forced to do support all the time.

Also, you're right, by going support fill, you're decreasing your chances of getting support more than if you had gone support/mid or something like that. Remember though, you can't always get your primary role, and it's helpful to know the other roles as well.
