Gold so far has seemed a little less toxic than silver but when people flame they flame fucking hard haha. Like you can go a couple games and hardly hear anyone speak and then the next game just turns into a crazy rage match. That's is what the mute button is for though. I have used it a lot since reaching gold since there is usually only 1 rager sometimes 2.
Out of recent memory I don't remember anyone actually rage quitting. More just flame and talk about going afk, but never do. So yea.. better than silver but still not perfect but probably the most chill elo out there.

Congrats man. I am almost there as well, I am silver 2 and started this season as bronze 4 so I have come a long ways though I feel that I just earned what was rightfully mine instead of actually progressing cause I was low silver last season.
Grats! For your own sake (and sanity) please never continue on to Platinum.
