Why doesn't rito just make you a skin just for you...

Malicious Morde... Basically mordekaiser but with MORE metal and spikes and metalness.

rtbf2256182411 votes

Because it would be basically insulting everyone else for not having a skin. It's why one player usually has no input in game features.

Fondling Gems1 votes

Tell that to Deep Sea Nami asking for a PBE account for their birthday. I made a wisecrack about how Riot wouldn't do it and just make a custom Nami skin for them instead. 2-3 days later guess what skin showed up on the PBE.

rtbf2256182411 votes

If you think they made that skin in 2 - 3 days then you must be very uninformed as to how long it takes for a skin to make.

Fondling Gems1 votes

That doesn't mean there is no basis of the skin in Deep Sea Nami. Riot interestingly enough does know the birthdays we entered.

Not saying it was based off of Deep Terror, but there are signs that point to it. I simply mentioned my part because it was a pretty damn amusing coincidence.

As a side note, if someone writes a comment directed at you, and 30 seconds later writes a very similar comment towards someone else, please only respond to the comment directed at you since you are effectively voicing your opinion on both comments anyways and it does nothing but bloat the discussion page and people's notifications lists.

rtbf2256182411 votes

(I write to both comments because notifications don't always come through. Even in 1 on 1 threads)

You can make assumptions all you want but i'm pretty sure at best, the name itself got adjusted to be a reference to DT Nami. Not the skin. They don't make skins so randomly for people and all you can do is assume they did which is pretty ridiculous to me. You can do that with a lot of skins and get a completely different viewpoint of League as a whole or Riot.

Weak and boring? Actually, the correct term is "having a proper learning curve with lots of depth no first, second, or even fifteenth-timer could master."

League ruins friendships. I have a support main friend who exclusively plays Teemo support with no sightstone, support item, and goes full tank

And I have to get pushed into top lane because of it, my weakest role

Is mindboggling

Placentas18 votes

Yeah, which makes it worse. There are clear signs of emotional abuse in their relationship that can be seen from their body language towards one another as seen in the gif. There are plenty of other examples as well. Not even trying to be political it just is what it is.

Sammystorm19 votes

Are you a psychologist? That is literally a 1.5 second clip how can you tell he is abusive from that?

Placentas12 votes

I am not, but I am capable of reading articles that explain body language written by psychologists and then do my own research from there to see if they're bullshitting or not. It's easy to access mainstream media articles on the subject and then academic articles via university websites and the like.

And as I stated before, there are more examples than just this gif.

Do you need a safe space?

Sammystorm21 votes

Ah so you are the type of person who reads articles and has no formal education or experience but claim to be an expert.

There are articles and I am able to do my own research on surgery but would you trust me to operative on you or a family member? Their is a reason that licenses exist and a reason people have to go through years and years of education and experience to become professionals. Not to mention we have no way to verify that the information that you self trained in is actually legit. A self proclaimed psychologist (like you). Is not a licensed or a real psychologist. I hate to break it to you but your opinion isn't very valuable on this subject. I would also like to mention that a real psychologist needs to actually spend time with a person to learn what is actually going on. Images can give a clue videos a better one but in the end the only way to truly tell what is going is by evaluating the person. Even then it isn't a for sure thing.

9 X8 votes

A big chunk of the reason these licenses exist is to protect the status quo.

He never claimed to be an expert, he claimed to read articles from people who supposedly are licensed/educated/whateverism in their field and what I presume to be a form of cross-referencing and came to his own potentially logical conclusion.

You would do well to learn the difference while you stand atop that pedestal of yours. Whether or not he is licensed in a field is irrelevant with regards to his ability to formulate an opinion, presumably based off legitimate data and you know, being in possession of a human brain.

That being said, I find some merit in his approach. However, I wouldn't judge a relationship off a 1.5 second interaction by the book, no matter how "interesting" that 1.5 second interaction may be.

Sammystorm6 votes

The reason licenses exist is to protect the consumer by making sure that the provider hits a minimum standard as determined by the state that you live in. I am not saying that the research he has is worthless. It isn't. What I am saying is that I and everyone else on these boards has no way to verify that he isn't just making stuff up. They just posted a very inflammatory response about our current president without providing a single shred of evidence. Then when I called them out on it I got a response about how their experience can tell them and how their is "a bunch of evidence".

Now he very well potentially could have good grasp of psychology, I don't know that. Furthermore I am personally trained in the medical field and I know firsthand how complex medicine (including psychology) is. I see smart people all the time research medications for example and then self medicate and then develop some serious illness or make their problem worse or have some negative side effect. I also see doctors and psychologists make mistakes all the time. So if a highly trained and highly skilled specialists makes mistakes. How much easier is it for a random person with no formal training to make a mistake?

I am not trying to stand on a pedestal. Ignorance in the medical field is very very common and most "self trained ______" are very bad at what they are trying to do. Which is exactly why no one will give them a job doing whatever it is they are trained in. Which goes back to why we have licenses in the first place. To make sure that every single psychologist (or any medical provider) has a minimum amount of training that qualifies them for the position and that we as the public can trust them because they have that.

[zombie-brand-mindblown]

Calm down toots, we're talking into a vacuum (need I remind you, MEMES AND GAMES) the Trump family will never ever hear, so all this talk of qualifications, certifications, licenses and etcetera all for the sake of expressing one's thoughts on a trivial matter is just silly. It's not like anyone here is in a position to do anything about it so it is irrelevant, and ultimately your participation just boiled down to tooting your own horn.

On the topic of actually trusting the medical field... Hahaha no. Trust in money first, trust in necessity second.

It is meme and games. The only reason I responded the way I did is because I personally think it is disrespectful to talk about anybody in the way that "placentas" did. The other conversation came about because of the response that I got. I personally don't think it is trivial. Which is why I responded. Just because we can't change the relationship in the trump family does not make it irrelevant. How we treat people (especially people that don't know we are treating them poorly) is very important. It affects our culture and our society.

If you think I was just trying to "toot my own horn". Most likely I articulated my argument poorly but may be you missed the point of my argument.

On the topic of trusting the medical field. You should. The majority of people in it are very skilled and highly specialized and actually know what they are doing.
