I stop attacking genuine disconnects in lane and let them get executed by minions. There is honour in war.
I was playing Shen top against a Fiora, and we dueled as soon as she hit 6. We duked it out pretty hardcore, minions aside, and I barely finished her off with ignite while flash/E away and I lived with 9hp while she died a couple seconds later near her tower. I typed "VWP Fio" and she responded in kind "That was a fantastic play. Honor." My game ended up having an AFK bot lane who got DC'd and we had to surrender, but me and Fiora kept dueling top lane 1v1 for the longest time. One of the beauties of top lane is that if you find an honorable opponent, you guys can really tell your teams to leave it alone and just enjoy a fair match, team objectives aside. Eventually she got the upper hand with the dragon control and tower gold, but I got 4 honorable opponents from that game and 1 for teamwork. It made swallowing the loss bitter sweet. Outdueling an M7 Fiora is a huge accomplishment, especially as a new Shen player. That was one of the best games in a long time, and she was super nice. I think, honestly, it has more to do with playing Shen as a whole. People just like the guy.
