Catastrop1 votesOh boy, that first part. The last time I decided to try and get back into the game sometime last year, boy was that an experience. The map was changed, Iron Branches could plant trees, bunch of new items and well Arc Warden. My first game I decided to take it easy with an old reliable as Puck. A Windranger shackled me by blinking behind me and planting a tree, found myself suddenly one shot by Arc Warden(I still don't understand what happened there) and I actually died by Lotus Orb, as embarrassing as that is. Personally, the game changes so much it's like playing a completely different game sometimes. I think one day I'll be able to pick the game up properly when I actually have time to devote to it. Which is a shame, the game is pretty regardless of my lack of skill.

Now if I recall, his ult is essentially a clone that has his items correct and a dome that disperses autos? If I've actually got that right, that's just awful.
Sona x Rubick1 votesthe problem is that he would suicide the double on your base with 1500 ad backdooring the towers, and if you kill the double no rapiers were dropped on death
ice-frog simply removed the ability for the double to have rapiers.
Meep Man1 votesThat's actually not too insane in Dota 2. The double clone is decently insane (although most exploits it can do have been removed), but there is much crazier stuff like Spirit Breaker Q, Engima pets, and Phantom Assassin dodge.
HOWEVER, items are your savior in Dota 2. In Dota 2, the rule is that, besides basic attacks, every extremely powerful mechanic has some form of counter play or item that completely shuts it down.

That's why you should mainly play beginner friendly heroes, like Crystal Maiden, Zeus, Tidehunter, Phantom Assassin, and Drow Ranger. After a couple games and looking stuff up, however, the game opens up a lot and you will get what people say when they say "Dota 2 has no meta"

Azir is playable if you're good, but yes he's trash. Rek'sai has the best jungling kit unless her numbers are garbage. Shen is playable.
