Taliyah is from a tribe out of Shurima. And was only in Ionia to explore her powers. First with the noxian army then escaped from the noxian military and found randomly Yasuo on an ionian mountain. He helped her exploring her powers. She decided then to leave because her tribe and her family were probably in danger because of Azir.

Yauso is a mentor/parental figure to Taliyah(but not a literal parent) so it's embarrassing to call him dad :P

A real life example is that my neighbor was this super nice lady growing up. I didn't see my mom much so she'd take me to and from school and basically acted like a mom. One time I accidentally called her mom. Taliyah is doing the same to Yauso; he's training her and she's far from home so he's acting as a father figure, and for just a split second, she forgot.

Same thing happened to me but it was with my like ?grade 1? teacher, accidently called her "Mommy" lol. Then I instantly got all fumbled up and embarrassed just like Taliyah here but having those kinds of relationships with people are really nice.
