Go see it, its a stupid movie but an awesome stupid movie. It has a dumb plot, but it's aware of that and also aware that the only reason people go to see it is because giant mecha robot vs Godzilla action, and boy did it deliver.

Michael Bay has huge explosions and kinda meh action scenes (imo, not objectively).

Pacific Rim has awesome action that makes the inner anime mecha nerd in you wet their pants.

More like Gundam + Godzilla + Big Hero 6 without the plot. (like what TERKMC said)
