Wake up and listen to the obnoxiously loud minority.

Fixed that for you.

Also, OP upvoted for Scrubs.

I don't know where do you base that we're a minority. It's the latest brand of chewing gum that someone gave some of you guys and you keep chewing it again and again. "Big bubble explosion" was my preferred brand, now it seems someone passed around "idiot explosion". I suggest that you spit that chewing gum out of your mouth, because there are no such stats which could back you up.

The "majority" you talk about is from the vocal part of the community. And the vocal part consists of a minority overall, which is fact.

LMAO. Let me teach you something Sir. It's called logic. I'll try to make it as simple for you as possible, using elementary maths.

Let's say there's a community that is consisted of 1000 people. Let's say that of these 1000 people, 100 visit the community's coffee shop every day.

In this coffee shop, 50 out of the 100 people there tend to be vocal, expressing their opinion, be it one way or another.

Summary:

Total population = 1000 People visiting the coffee shop = 100 Vocal people = 50

Let's say some event happens and let's say that it affects everyone in the community. Everyone forms an opinion about it. Let's say for the purpose of this example that 650 people don't like it and 350 do.

What happens in the coffee shop? Let's say that it goes in perfect analogy (which might not be the case), and that out of the 100 in the coffee shop, 65 don't like it and 35 do like it. Let's go to our vocal ones who scream and argue loudly in the coffee shop. Using an analogy again, it's probable that 32-33 (65% of 50) of them would not like the event, 17-18 of them would like it.

Now let me tell you what you're saying. "Just 32-33 people out of 1000 are screaming for the event. They are a minority". Well DUH. Guess what.. Even if all 50 of them screamed, they'd still be a minority.

Even worse, you're implying that those 32-33 people are the only ones in the 1000 which consist the whole community who don't like it the event. Can you understand how irrational that sounds? Just because the rest of the 900 aren't going to the coffee shop at all, doesn't mean they haven't got an opinion. Just because it's not expressed, it doesn't mean you get to claim them as people who like the event. No, the truth is that if the majority of vocal people seem to be agreeing then the majority of all the population is most likely agreeing too.

I trust you will be smart enough to take this example and apply it to our case. Just replace the community with the people who play LoL, the coffee shop with the boards, and the vocal people with those who come to the boards and actually interact/post/express themselves.

You've lost. Good day Sir.

Your argument ignores the alternative and assumes the majority of the community doesn't like SoloQue.

The alternative being that out of the 1000 people, 350 people don't like it, and 650 people DO like it. And the majority of the people in the "coffee shop/boards" who argue loudly are those who don't like it. (cause let's face it, most people who care enough to voice their opinion are those who don't like something)

Right now RIOTs data is telling them that you are the minority, that the majority of their players enjoy Dynamic Que. I think RIOT understands that there is decent portion of their community that does not like Dynamic Que. And trust me when I say RIOT isn't ignoring them, they know their voices are important. However, right now RIOT has taken the philosophical stance that the game should be treated as a team game (that has options for solos), rather than a solo game (that has options for teams); This stance contradicts the view of some of their playerbase who purely enjoy the soloque experience.

RIOT has specific and clear ideals of what a healthy system looks like (again, which may contradict some of the playerbase); and for them that is Dynamic Que. However, rather than simply reverting back to the old system to appease the cries of that portion of the player base, they are trying to find the right balance that allows Dynamic que to exist AND create an experience that is acceptable (hopefully enjoyable) for the solo que player.

TL;DR: RIOT believes they are making a giant step forward that aligns with their ideals but doesn't with a portion of their playerbase; and they are trying to compromise just enough to make sure those players continue to enjoy the game rather than leave.
