There is a simple solution to this issue:
Whenever I get ADC, I let my support know that I will not mind if they last hit. I'm certainly not going to be able to do it.
Literally dumpstered.
although, this gets a bit less funny when you realize it's an old man falling into the garbage bin

Thankfully, there is ALWAYS someone willing to take top lane.
I queue Jungle/Sup. When I get autofilled to ADC or Mid it is basically an assured loss for my team. I can manage top by playing my jungle champions top. But my Soraka mid isn't nearly as good.
There are a few easy solution: First if you are in promo, then you are protected from autofil. Second if you play fill, or support role on draft, then you get autofil protected. Even for ranked.
I play all roles equally terrible so I don't have this problem
Top lane is just a terrible awful place.
