I am ashamed to admit that I have taken advantage of similar strategies in ranked. I will purposely set teammates against themselves urging them to flame a feeder or blaming a carry for throwing. When you only have 20 days left to get to gold and your silver 1 you start taking drastic measures. I lost 2 gold promos this sunday with only 1 win in both and the 1 win in my 2nd promos only being the free win I got from losing the previous one. I can not have the silver border again >_<
I typically find the weak link and tell them something like "Dude your teammates are assholes, if they just follow you u more you'd win every team fight. SINCE I KNOW HE'S TILTED THAT ONE ONE IS BACKING HIM UP!
To know if this worked is when you see them standing still for a bit or miss a few creeps. This means they're typing but not in all chat.

he ended up being so triggered he all-caps raged in chat, then tried flash killing me under tower, he died, then he went afk
I think this also applies when the enemy laner tries to all chat tilt you and instead you get them to rage.
