Unfortunately, it's the most accurate non-meme picture I've seen on the status of supports. Supports, currently, are being treated like personal whores: They're just there for their ADCs to fuck and nothing else.

I'm about ready to start maining MF, Vayne, Gnar, and Yasuo just so I have an excuse to NOT play Support anymore, even though it's my current main. I just get sick of being treated like a bitch and blamed for when every other lane (and the jungler) feeds like hell and only bot wins.

Quit making yourself a martyr. As someone who plays adc whenever I read these comments the inaccuracy of them kills me a little inside. I have never played a match where I blamed everything on my supp or constantly rely on them for everything. Every match I play when I mess it up it's because I mess up. Sometimes the support is partial to blame but it's never fully the supports fault (unless it's blitz crank and he pulls a fed champ into my face when I'm low). When I die I'll almost always say mb or something like that and when I get ahead and get fed I'll recognize my support for the help they provided.

The only time I see people abuse the support role is in Bronze V, but they abuse and blame all roles there.

Sometimes I'll remind them to ward river if they hadn't done that all game but that rarely happens and when it does I'm not a douche about it.

There's the key; You don't blame supports, you admit your mistakes, you recognize the support's achievements.

The thing? You do this. We love adc's like you, and if you don't do the things as described the complaints don't apply to you. But they are still by and large true, so it's not inaccurate- just not a thing that you contribute to.

Yha i can kinda understand you there. I hate playing support and when i do I play brand support mostly. I end up KSing a lot as brand, but I don't hardly ever touch the farm with my skills and i'll run into enemies to buy my carry time to gtfo. The other day I got a double on bot as brand sup and the adc starting bitching not 5 seconds later.

Hey hey hey. Guess what? A support can't do anything on their own either. It's a DUO lane. Both parts matter. Don't pretend that the only reason a lane is won is because of the support. ADCs have to work to win the lane too.

There are plenty of games where the support either afks or disconnects at the beginning of the game and the ADC has to survive the lane. Most of the time they do alright. Not great, definitely not winning lane, but they aren't doing "nothing."

See I face the opposite, I typically get the adc that runs in dies then rage quits after blaiming me for him trying to tower dive the enemy when their jungler is coming in seen by my wards, and I back off to live he died trying to fight impossible odds

So here we are lvl 4-7 I've lvl E to be a support Janna and now I'm alone in lane and have support items, I'll defend towers and start liking Q but at this point I'm so far behind in gold and my spell lvl investment for the situation that it's tough to just survive the lane, which is now my goal

Vs an assassin late game, the adc typically can't do anything

The support is valuable in the fact they let the gold pool to the adc, making the adc stronger, and guarding the adc from assassinations

In some situations adc die VERY easily, add the support in and he can sometimes win a 2v5, not because he just deals stupid damage, but because the support IS his survival item and he can't deal damage when dead (unless your the void adc Kog Maw but he is very team reliant on his survival with having no dashes or hard CC, and that damage is very limited because it's just a passive, no AAs aloud)

Key words there are EARLY GAME if you haven't noticed. Each time I write a reply there is someone like you who is like "actually supports are important because BLAH." No fucking shit sherlock. That's why we have them IN THE FIRST PLACE! I KNOW that supports are invaluable not only to the adc, but also to the entire team. I'm not trying to say otherwise. What I'm sick and tired of are these support elitists that claim that the support is the only reason games are ever won, and that ADCs are these raging children that can do "nothing" without a support. I will repeat, I understand that supports are important; I play the role often enough. What I don't understand is why some supports discount ALL of the contribution an ADC puts into a lane, and starts whining on the Boards about how supports are used as (and I will paraphrase something I have read on here) "personal whores that work only for them." It's not fair to those ADCs that highly respect their support and try to have a good relationship with them in lane, only to read that they are playing a role that only scum of the earth play.

There are plenty of times I get the raging 3 year old adc that doesn't last hit, doesn't trade, tries to tower dive, and stays in lane with 10% hp, I'm not saying all adc are like this, but I usually get THOSE adcs because I guess I'm just lucky like that

All supports want is proper recognition for what they contribute, instead of being blaimed for things they aren't responsible for

I've been blaimed for top being yanked 3 min into the game because I didn't wars for him... I'm bot lane, yea... And the rest of the my team went with it blaiming me for it... That is the stuff I want to stop, I've made mistakes, but I'm tired of being blaimed for crap that I had no part of, go to ward adc tries to 2v1 and dies, it's my fault, 5 people bot lane and I back off giving the tower because we cannot stop them and adc get dove cause he stayed, my fault

Support is not the most important role. You may think it is, but it isn't. It's probably jungle. A bad jungler can give up quite a lot early, while a good jungler can snowball an entire game in your favor.

Alternatively, it could also be mid, as they do a lot of damage, and can snowball very easily early game due to 1v1s being easier than 2v2s.

Support is important (like every role), but it isn't the most important, bar none, no question about it.

It's true that support isnt the "God" role, none are it's a team effort, the thing many supports are upset about is being treated as the scapegoat for everything that goes wrong in or near bot lane or around the adc

Yet when we make game changing plays with our team, it's always GJ (insert not support here)

I singlehanded lay survived and got a triple kill under my tower defending it with a 3v1 gank under bits outermost tower because I outplayed them, who got the GJ? The mid laner who pushed mid tower down while his lane enemy was ganking bot with the jungler and support (the adc was dead)

It's more of a matter of we are tired of outplaying people and making great plays for them to be ignored and credit to be given to the person rolling their head on their keyboard (and this is usually the bad adc that can't position properly so I have to save them time and time again when they shouldn't be in the middle of the team fight but in the back line

I respect good supports. I do appreciate good supports. I mainly play CC tanks in top/jg/supp so I would understand. As long as I feel like I did well, I'll be happy. I don't really care if my team says I did well, as long as I think I did well, I'm completely fine.

Playing Janna perfectly, saving people left and right, going in the middle of the fight to blast them away from our mid Corki, who was caught by Morganas Binding out of position for the fifth time, shields give them more escapes than Riven has in her broken kit...

And still for every death, the first one to blame? "Omg, nice warding support..." while I had 2/3 wards out, and the third litteraly got cleared out five seconds ago...
