I'm highly guessing that it would not be coded as a "knock-up" like Poppy's ult, since it's a long-ranged Aatrox Q but at Mach speed of 100.

I think the wind up of the ult will be like pantheon's. You will have plenty of time to move out the way, it's semi global and I presume a marker is shown where he will land. So a knock up might be justified as the wind up will be the potential counter play.

Riot stated this ability was ally targeted, and the landing area doesn't move after cast. so it effectively only works in the shown situation
