What I heard was: We want pro play to be balanced, but we also don't want our 60% bronze+silver playerbase to be angry, because they generate most of our cash flow.

............ I love League of Legends and I appreciate Riot, but some of their messages seem like they're trying to contain their true motives and not going about their methods in the best manner possible.
