Tryndamere crits often, tends to have life steal, and a ult that lets him deny death. Singed is super tanky and can walk into most enemy teams and walk out without a scratch while they're all half hp. Sion is a giant CC beast that if built right and starts the fight on his terms well can 1v5 with relative ease. Kayle has invincibilty which can allow her to soak up and kill the carry's damage. Poppy is...poppy.

It was more like there was less cc and mobility so people couldn't really escape him and he had dfg then as well as a few other things.
