So did you take computer science classes during high school? I'm still a junior and am speculating my options. I just feel as if going into that field with only basic knowledge from one class is not enough to pursue a career out of.

I did take classes in highschool(2 c# classes), but in perusing a career(a full time job) most companies want a bachelors degree, or a level of experience(4 years) and a work portfolio that compares to a bachelors degree... what I found my highschool classes helped me with was knowing that cs was a career i wanted to peruse and it did help me a lot in college programming classes(c++ Java Python etc.)

but in terms of getting into the field out of high-school basic knowledge wont get you anywhere(you might be able to get an internship but low likelihood) but if you can take more classes in highschool(your senior year) and learn/study on you own outside of classes you could secure an interneship or possibly a job right out of highschool...but the most traditional route is getting college degree
