But is that RAM speed actually usable? ;)
Sure, there's no doubt you got no clear bottlenecks (as we all know, a PC is not faster than its weakest link), but from what I read all over the net, RAM speeds over 1600 MHz is barely noticable outside benchmark software - and given my own use, I figured I wouldn't be gaining anything by buying faster RAM. So I went with the good old function over form.
I had a look at some 8 slot mobos, as well as some dual CPU-socket ones, but again decided on "what will I actually need?", and settled on something more subtle (clearly I'm not a Draven player ^^).
As for the GPU, I went from a GTX 670 to a 780 OC after a few months...because I got the cash, found a good offer, and did a complete hype swallow: barely noticed any difference. Oh well, at least the card(s) served me well, and I now have a(nother) backup card in case of disaster.

Currently use one 24" monitor (Acer Predator G24OID - with "metallic orange bezel" ^^), though I have another in the next room - again did a hype-swallow, and ran with a dual-monitor setup for awhile...but it was more of a nuisance than of any actual use to me, so I packed up the other one.
Only got tilt though, so I fitted a custom swivel system to add something to the ergonomics part.
It's my first ever LCD monitor, bought in 2008, (and the second in 2009) traded up from a 17" Trinitron CRT, preordered it before it even came to shops (that's how much I liked the bezel color! :D )...and it turned out I was damn lucky: I've learned I am very sensitive to LCD screen issues, such as flickering and aggressive anti-glare coating.
The G24's are glare screens, and use CCFL lighting as opposed to LEDs. It got backlight bleed like a bitch, but running the brightness at 20% - to make it even possible to look at as opposed to a goddamn sun - does sort out most of that problem.
"The Bottom Line: The Acer G24 is great for gaming, but not much else."

...great for sensitive eyes as well. Hence a 10/10 for me, before getting to the bezel color.
Otherwise, I am pretty much a complete sucker for white or silver - hell, I even miss the old "beige" days with steel PC cases and when keyboards were considered optional blunt weapons due to their weight!
My case is a Lian Li V1020A, and I did consider buying the black one, then having it professionally painted white, but once I was told that would cost me ~500 EUR, I figured spending the 11 EUR extra on the silver one would make for a better investment.
Fitted a strip of white SMD LEDs in the top and bottom in the case for some "clean" (and subtle), nice lighting. :)
Fitted some black dragon stickers on the top and side for some detailing:

Bought another set of decal dragons for my custom made plexi door - great door solution on the case btw: the entire door is just one plain sheet of aluminium with fitting bars just screwed (screwed; not riveted!) on to it. Made it the easiest thing in the world to unscrew it all and take the doorpanel to the local glassworking store and tell them to make one of these in 4mm plexi. :D
Runs 2x 140mm Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-2000 intake fans in the front*, 1x Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilentPro PK-3 140mm also as intake on the top, 2x Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilentPro PL-2 120mm fans on the CPU-cooler in push-pull configuration and another PL-2 120mm as exhaust at the back.
Use a Sunbeam Rheobus Extreme (leftover from an earlier build) as a manual fan controller.
*Because the originally upgraded Noiseblocker PK-3's ceased up after only 13 months of use (6 years warranty) - they were utterly dried up where the lubricant should be. No dust in sight either, so that made no sense to me. :/
Imported from the US of A, so warranty was no option.
So I replaced them with goddamn IP67 dust resistent industrial fans. Expensive as f¤#k for what is simple fans...
Bought a Steelseries Sensei mouse simply because it had a silver cover instead of a black one. And bought a set of white keycaps for my Qpad MK-85 MX Brown keyboard (with added silencer O-rings on each key).
White, white, silver, white - then some black details. I am the dawn.
