Anyone else kind of feel like Gnar needs to lose Tristana's passive since mini'game or not he is basically ripping off Tristana's passive and more by gaining range per level in mini-mode plus 'more things' on top of tankie'ness in mega-mode? Since when champions get passives with so much more to them and too little on kit difference to separate the similarity line. It might as well be the 'this champion is a improved ver of this one in a nutshell.'

Especially since im sure people have done ADC Gnar and were successful at it. Hopefully after the Pre'season update we can get some touch ups on champions who need their kits updated a bit to put them back on the common pick roster and not be 'risky picks' because of their kits are quite bad in a typical draft mode match or they were just literally picked to clown or troll around.

P.S. yes i do recall Tristana has a E bomb that stacks, but without a good cling potential its not exactly easy to max stack it less your opponent is a idiot or you ambush jump them in most situations. But gnar has his own 'jump' which lets him get an attack speed mini buff, if he jumps on a enemy he knocks them for a chunk of max % hp plus a mini'slow for half a second on top of being a great escape or chase tool by bouncing 'over' a enemy.

Not to mention his own version of Vayne's silver bullets aka his W also allows him to dish out max % hp damage, does not 'reset' if it hits other enemy targets and his abilities can apply'm too on top of giving him a quick move speed decaying burst over 3 seconds after each stack detonate. Meaning his mini form alone already has insanely strong cling power.

Oh plus when i mentioned the part his mini form gets range? He also gets 1030 flat move speed while leveling up on top of attack speed of 5.599%, even if he has the mega form which swaps those for tankie'ness, it still is basically Gnar getting alot of free stats and let him build quite freely in the process.

Gnar may not be ungodly broken, but he certainly on the top to be a pain in the arse to take on since kit alone he has cling power, escape power, tank power, poke power and can easily just turtle a lane match up long enough till he has enough levels to have enough stats to beat you.

Anyway, Vladimir doesnt count in my book because he's perfect and I'm not biased at all he doesnt share the same qualities that the typical ranged cancer infesting top lane do.

Vlad can't consistently harass with AA's. His spell harass is either shit (Q), telegraphed as shit (Rush Q), or blockable with minions and costs a hefty chuck of health (E). Vlad doesnt start pushing you out of lane once he hits level 2/3, he does it at level 8/9 and that's only if he's been farming well enough to get items. Vlad doesnt also have a good escape (W is better for avoiding cc in the first place than actually escaping), unlike Jayce, Kennen, Quinn, etc...

Vlad also doesnt get hard cc like a stun, or a knockback, or fucking nearsight.

He's ranged for sure, but no one has ever complained about "Vlad does too much damage in lane and I can't even cs".

If it helps, I consider Vlad half-melee because of his weak early game and lacking the offending qualities of other top laners (I commented on this somewhere else in this thread). In a similar fashion, I consider Gangplank half-ranged.

My other top laners include Yorick, Illaoi, and Kled. I too wish for the day where Jayce, Kennen, and Quinn go back to where they came from.
