But really the best use of pick intent is to select an ADC that your support can have synergy with. THEN PICK SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T AT ALL TO TILT THE HECK OUT OF THE SUPPORT AFTER THEY ARE LOCKED IN!

I've been playing a lot of Braum lately. Boy do I hate it when my partner picks Jhin after I've locked in. Don't get me wrong, the Slow-Snare-Stun synergy is great... but that requires Jhin to hit with his W, when other marksman could possibly just auto twice.

You could use the pick intent as your comfort pick. Counter picks aren't always effective, especially if you can't play them well.

It may be rude, buts its entirely true. The easiest way to climb to Plat or Diamond is by maining a champion, even if it means that champion is a horrible pick for your team comp because team comps dont matter when low elo is such a bloodbath.

I agree with you completely. I play Braum almost exclusively in ranked. Unless he's banned or the enemy team picks him first. I really don't care about "counter picks" for where I'm at. I know how to play him against almost any bot lane combination you can think of. The "counters" give me problems, but only when they actually know what they're doing. I love when they pick Zyra or Morgana because they saw it on a counter pick site. most of the time they don't actually know what they're doing, and I walk all over them because I've achieved a level of comfort with Braum that they just can't match. I'm not terrible with other supports, and I still wouldn't say I know braum's mechanics inside out. But I know how to be more effective with my champion than they do with theirs.

The other benefit that people seem to skip over? Even if they pick Braum first I have a very good idea about his limits, and what he brings to their team. So even if I have to play someone else, I've effectively "countered" them because I know almost exactly what they're going to do.

Once I get higher in the ranking ladder, I know this style of playing is going to have to change.. But I'm not at that point yet. And I will ride the Braum train until it does :)

Ok, I never have built tanky support as Braum. I go full assassin build. I used to play him mid before Zephyr was removed, but sated is a good replacement for it. Step 1. Flash on squishy adc. Step 2. Right click. Step 3. Ult. Step 4. get kill. Step 5. Grab a piece of the champ.

I use pick intent to try desperately to get my jungler or top to pick a tank (by picking super squishy awful champs) because vayne top + yi jg teams don't do very well.

It's never actually worked though.
