THEY ARE JUST TOO FAST! My spells aren't making a dent! People often forget that it's generally harder to build Mana resistance and keep yourself tanky against AD damage. Because Most mana resist items do not provide Attack Stats or large pools of HP. The other thing is... people generally misunderstand just how much more powerful building penetration is then just more damage against a target with a high armor or resistance. Look at the math of Magic Penetration Teemo. I can only hit one target at a time! They blow me up too fast! I can't split push! They need me in a fight! I'm squishy! I can't afford to build armor! or I will loose out on AD! I can't get close to that bush without risking getting jumped by Rengar to place a ward! I have no escape! I need a wall in front of me or I will die! GG SORAKA NO HELZ

Okay, but let's be honest: is garbage for the very same reason exists, Riot has decided that the only ones who can deal with tanks are ADCs. Mages should be building anyways in order to be able to scratch tanks, but a cooldown-based champion will always have issues against a guy who is a bag of resistances and health.

If your ADC isn't building Armor Pen then yeah, he sucks, but that's just the carry being bad at the game, it happens in League of ADCs very often and you just have to deal with it and move on to the next game.

You ignore the massive level and gold lead they probably have and the fact yuor team is 5 early game squishies.
