So, where did the term "Salty" come from anyway?

Been used so often now, yet I know for certain as a very old player that it did not exist (or maybe wasn't that popular when I first started). I didn't really notice when it first started getting used and the first time I heard it I didn't even know what it meant (apart from its other meaning as a seasoning).

The term "salty" has been around for DECADES! It started way before LoL (and other online games) even existed. It started before (probably) 80% of the LoL playerbase were even born. I remember using this word when I was just a kid and I was born in the 80s.

It's actually an old term, used to describe the rough nature of sailors over the past century and longer.

Please remember that saltiness isn't toxicity and toxicity isn't saltiness.

Getting killed by a Teemo mushroom isn't offensive to the code of conduct.
