Yeah well VelKoz really shines in that matchup to be completely honest. Yeah, Zyra is a support, And Vel is naturally a mid main. But as OP as she is given she just stands behind her plants, which can do massive damage and peel for her adc, VelKoz has a Q that really just makes harassing easy. You may make your ADC a bit mad but if you have any skill with Vel, you can get his stacks, throw a good burst on the supp or ADC, and send them both back to base as soon as they return to lane.

You can do this over and over. Normally I HATE cheese picks. I cannot stand seeing Illaoi Bot lane as a "support" and I think if see another Diana supp, I am likely going to go Velkoz as well. If you build a balance of AP/Health/Mana/CDR. Vel will sustain in lane, be able to fight if the ADC is away, and can set up the easiest picks for a JG or the ADC. All it takes is one knock up. W,E,W,Q. (now he's one shot and unless your ADC sucks, you wont have to cast a last second Q.)

I disagree. I run Zyra supp and I am very rarely ever bullied out of lane. I run Spelthief's and run AP. Land your vines and you have nothing to worry about as long as you build AP and Magic Pen.
