No, intelligent women realize gold has no such value other than what we give to it just as with most things, explaining how the "cash 4 gold" business stays up by basically recycling gold sold to them and reselling it at a higher price. Were gold truly worth something, its value would not be so interchangeable with little to no difference between each unit.

Food has different quality but is still necessary. Water does as well. The only reason they're ever priced differently is because of quality differences. Computers are a similar fashion, so are tools and likewise. But take two shovels that are identical in quality side by side and the price probably isn't going to differ because you're paying for the function. No, an intelligent woman would want something that isn't just meant to sit there and look pretty.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, no. Obviously we decide what is valuable and what isn't, but the reason Gold is valuable is by no means arbitrary. Gold is valuable for a myriad of reasons. It's rare(but not too rare), non reactive, pretty, and useful in a number of applications(same for silver). Gold has been used as currency by virtually every civilization for thousands of years. It's value is also extremely stable since so little of it is able to be mined every year.

"cash 4 gold" speaks nothing of the value of gold... The gold is only "worth less" when you sell it to "cash4gold" because you're incompetent. They are buying the gold from you at less than market value and then selling it for market value, simple as that. You don't know how(or don't care 90% of the time) to sell gold for its true value so you go to them and take what they give you. It's a pawn shop style business model.

Incorrect. Gold's most notable function is as a casing for other conductors which it ranks far behind - copper and silver. It's two most notable aspects are its bio-compatibility and lack of tarnishing.

As far as it being pretty, I prefer silver, so that's already subjective. Its medical uses are sparse at best, its quickly being replaced by new and improved technological advances that don't require a non-renewable resource to maintain in much of its industrial usage, and as far as rarity goes, sickle cell anemia is particularly rare but not too rare, but it's not exactly a trait you'd brag about.

A better go-to would be the platinum metals, or palladium, which are starting to oust gold due to our technological advances. They share many of the same traits with an increased quality, small or large, the only downside being they're not quite so malleable (though again, current technology renders that significantly less an issue).

By the by, gold's value as a currency or commodity is vastly higher in nations lacking a free-flow of information/Internet connectivity, if that correlation says anything about the view.

Money is a measurement of value. The point is that the value fluctuates significantly and will always do so depending on supply and demand. The value of it by the given amount is what manufacturers were paying to acquire a troy ounce of gold which they were then using in the methods you suggested. Therefore, even in practical use its value is arbitrary and measured only by its necessity (or current lack thereof). You are veritably wrong on all accounts here.

Basically what you said before was an intelligent woman would prefer a material with relatively minimal usage to other substances becaaaaaause:

Diamond is as hard as gemstones get, making it amazingly effective, but it's also one of few gemstones we both know how to create and can easily reproduce, meaning there's not quite so limited a supply so they'll always be there for use.

gold only has value as a currency. it cant be used for anything for the most part due to it's lack of reaction and is relatively rare. so we use it to trade for what we really want. which is bronze and copper for bullets and electrical wires. a nation built on gold only will fall.

Bronzie here, and I am happily married.

Though I suspect my low elo may very well be due to my wife and all this so called "family time" she wants to do such as going to this place called "outside" where it is humid and nasty and this big ball in the sky hurts my eyes when I look in its general direction. She also insists I "play" with these 2 furry four legged animals that love to drop a ball near me and then chase after it when I throw it only to bring it right back! Such silly animals!
