Tell me, which hero best fits the master of metal? One might assume Reinhardt, as he is massive and coated completely in metal armor. But he is also a just and heroic figure. In fact, everyone coated in armor is a good person in Overwatch (Pharah, Reinhardt, and E.VA). So would you just play Reaper and dream about the day he gets a skin made of metal, or what?

Mei sucks as of now (or is extremely institutional) Winston is a little eh. Symmetra sure. And no, having 3 champs designed to be good vs that type of character does not make him balanced.

You must've been wrecked by a Genji recently because by that argument's logic, every character in the game is imbalanced because they are typically countered by 2-3 other heroes

Those 3 are not designed specifically to counter Genji, they just happen to do so simply because of how their kits and mechanics work

Winston's meant to charge into the fray and knock people around while blocking damage for his team, the fact his damage passes through Genji's block is just handy. You know who else he counters? Junkrat because he can block and/or facetank some more damage and lock onto him

Mei's meant to control choke points and lock down teams, she screws over ANYONE who relies on mobility, except for Tracer. Know who else she counters? Soldier 76 because he cant escape the freeze combo, D'va to shut down mobility, Roadhog because of self freeze, Lucio for anti-mobility

Symmetra's like Mei but she's more on the static defense side. Know who else she counters? Reinhardt because her 2nd fire ignores the shield and the traps screw over poor melee only Reinhardt, and the other squishy, high mobility hero Tracer because she's really squishy and insta-dies to traps or lazors

So just like everyone else in the game, Genji counters some heroes, and gets countered by others while the heroes who counter him get countered by other heroes and so on

They aren't. They don't have abilities that shut down other things too. Once again, think Yasuo.

Junkrat can't facetank, he does blow him up with his ultimate(as he does to most things). Have to wait for Genji to step on a trap, and then you basically should always kill him with the remote bomb and a single shot.

Yeah, Mei is extremely situational.

Alright first: I said WINSTON can facetank, if you're facetanking as Junkrat you're doing it wrong

Winston punches will dislocate ANYONE, Mei can freeze ANYONE, Symmetra can trap ANYONE

Idk where you even got the idea that I suggested picking Junkrat into Genji

Of course, easiest way to deal with a Genji who's deflecting: Stop shooting bullets at him and walk backwards, he's all melee with deflect up and

I'm sorry that you personally have trouble dealing with Genji, or that you get teams who can't deal with him, but he's definitely balanced. Every hero excels in some situations and sucks in others. Every hero excels against some other heroes and sucks vs others.

The game is meant to work around countering the enemy team so if you see Genji, swap over to Mei or Winston, or even Roadhog. Don't complain when he's picked specifically countering one or two of your team's heroes and then snowballs the teamfight in his window of strength or when he's flanking your backline

Yeah but Soldier 76 can move around while shooting. Bastion basically sets up his turret in a choke point and hopes and prays he isn't flanked, sniped, hooked, knocked around, deflected, etc

Also, I'm comparing ease to play, not strength. I think someone being basically a random FPS character's easier to figure out and play than someone who has to set up as a turret
