I don't know why people are up in arms about Ziggs and Malzahar bot lane

Less funny when you consider Morgana is the original mid to go bot lane, with others to follow, some already mentioned: Zyra, Velkoz, Brand, etc.

Personally i've nothing against the trend except not all teams understand that the physical damage needs to be made up elsewhere on the map. Additionally too many players unused to one or both champions end up under performing if not outright feeding. Malzahar is not a newcomer to support. He's been tried on and off since the mid season mage update. Wasn't succeeding well, and still not seeing it do much at the elo i'm in.

I agree entirely. Though I will add, is it only due to meta that bot lane is supposed to be ADC/Supp? I had a game with a friend (this was back in S5, but it would likely still work now) where we played Diana/Sion bot. We stomped the enemy team ridiculously hard. We 2v5d them in their base. Why? It's unexpected, and there is little an unprepared bot lane (or team) can do to stop something like that. Playing the meta holds the game back more than anything imo.

I don't personally have an issue with botlane Ziggs, as much as I have an issue with Ziggs himself. Fuck that champion. He may not be OP or anything, but god do I hate playing against him.

Malzahar is just cheese with his ult. Anyone decent at bot lane shouldn't really have much trouble with him. Just be ready for that flash ult cheese

I've been playing kat bot for 3 years.

mages being bot are fine, I have issues with ziggs damage to turrets and turrets being pansy little things as it is...
