Less funny when you consider Morgana is the original mid to go bot lane, with others to follow, some already mentioned: Zyra, Velkoz, Brand, etc.

Good try though.

Personally i've nothing against the trend except not all teams understand that the physical damage needs to be made up elsewhere on the map. Additionally too many players unused to one or both champions end up under performing if not outright feeding. Malzahar is not a newcomer to support. He's been tried on and off since the mid season mage update. Wasn't succeeding well, and still not seeing it do much at the elo i'm in.

How exactly is he salty? He just stated it's less funny to him because of Morgana (very calmly) and then constated simple fact about physdmg and magdmg output balance still required regardless of what class is botlaning. So?

Good question. Unless Annie was brought bot lane as early as season 2/3 like Morgana was, i'd have to say no. I can't recall Annie down there, at least not regularly until later on.

Morg has been down there with decent regularity since the game came out, not just Season 2/3. She has a very utility-oriented kit, after all, and she was made when they made champions in more of a DotA manner where they didn't just declare where a champion was going to go or what they'd be best at and that was that - Ashe went mid in the same time period so she could acquire levels to get her ult faster for initiations and disengages all over the map and more levels for more ranks in her Q for higher kill threat in a less mobile game, like a Drow Ranger putting early points into her Frost Arrows and Gust over Precision Aura after the value skill point.

Not sure season one really counted since they weren't really supports back then, it was basically just a kill lane comprised of two kill champions, often bruisers.

At the start of League she was a mid. She just was a secondary support. She transitioned more toward botlane as the seasons went on, but she's seen quite frequently mid in higher elos still.

(Also if you're going to respond to multiple posts, quoting helps because some of us still use the true traditional posting board format instead of the lazy, reddit style one. :P)

actually, the smaller the sample size, the more skewed the results, AKA : TwistedFate , Swain , Mordekaiser , Anivia , Karma ,

and that's close to it given the rapid nerfs they were handing out

I agree entirely. Though I will add, is it only due to meta that bot lane is supposed to be ADC/Supp? I had a game with a friend (this was back in S5, but it would likely still work now) where we played Diana/Sion bot. We stomped the enemy team ridiculously hard. We 2v5d them in their base. Why? It's unexpected, and there is little an unprepared bot lane (or team) can do to stop something like that. Playing the meta holds the game back more than anything imo.
