I am confused. Your team had the higher level and ranking players, but you got killed. So what exactly are you saying? I mean we have to assume the level 22 is a smurf and probably has a high mmr. He is playing with low bronze friends, not really sure why your team got killed so bad. I mean shit happens, but don't understand why this is an unfair match up. It has been common knowledge forever that normal matches can be pretty lopsided as ranked and normal mmr are separate.

Im assuming this was normals, which uses normals ELO not ranked. The plat likely rarely plays norms or doesnt tryhard in normals, and therefore doesnt have nearly plat normal ELO.

And yet the lower ranked team not only won but was placed on the red side. Must mean their mmr doesn't match their rank.

i think the reason for a plat could be something like normals mmr doesnt raise with ranked mmr.

i'm not sure if this is correct, but its something like the player stopped playing normals and only played ranked, his ranked mmr raised to plat but the normals mmr didnt, it stayed as the same as it was in his last normal game.

That isn't the balance team. The balance team deals with in-game balance.

That problem has to do with matchmaking.

Happens in my games as well. Matchmaking is mostly based on MMR and not rank, that's actually a good thing since Boosted Dynamic Que.

See how the team with the Platinum still loses and the fact that he's playing Teemo and his name is "Just Fcked ur…..". Ranked to an extent is much less telling of one's actual skill.
