While watching a recent LCS game, the comment section was going nuts over the true meaning of "BF" in BF Sword.
The theories are Big F***ing Sword Best Friend('s) Sword And some others.
I personally recall Best Friend Sword, but haven't heard anything on it in a while. I've been playing/involved with league since Season 1 (ranked in s2), but I'd love to see official clarification, as silly as it is lol. Thanks.
Dynikus7 votesIt's a reference to the BFG9000 in doom, which is the big f*ing gun 9000. Casters usually call it a best friend sword though.
The Ender Cobra1 votesThis is the correct definition
Golden Tager X1 votesActually, the BFG was originally called the Bio-force gun, but of course when people saw bfg, the first thing that comes to their mind is Big Fucking Gun.
Dynikus5 votesIt was originally the big fucking gun actually, according to the creator himself and the manual for doom 2 and quake 2. It wasn't until the movie 12 years later that they called it the bio force gun.
9 X2 votesConsidering DotA is the inspiration behind many names in LoL, the logical answer is "Butterfly".
Any other answer is just plain incorrect. Sorry not sorry.

Busty Demoness1 votesBreak Forming Sword
Because you either break your back trying to save up for it or you break the enemy's back because you got yours first.
3TWarrior1 voteslol, someone explained it in the comments, but I still always think of it as BattleField sword
