is better if you are against a tank top. If you aren't against a tank then is better.

Trinity vs BC is completely match up based
if the enemy top laner is a tank, always take BC. In other cases, BC is superior in the case if they have tank support and jg.
Otherwise Trinity trumps BC because of the burst it provides(not to mention how much Fio can proc it)
