The legacy client... Was a good client. From the early days of League we opened the familiar icon and said hello to him. He directed people to League matches... News... The free champion rotation... His job wasn't that important at first glance, but when you stop to think about it, he was there to help.

Whenever you logged into League hyped for the holiday festivities of Snowdown or the Harrowing... He was there.

When you sat crying onto your keyboard when your main was heavily nerfed, he was there.

Even when you thought he wasn't there, he always made sure to take time out of his day to be there for you. When you got your first Pentakill, you might have thought he wasn't there, but he was.

And he never forgot it.

Even in the bad times, when you're losing your promos, he was still there, trying to keep you from ragequiting.

Why, even now, I bet he's still watching from up above.

Because, Legacy Client, we know you're passing on, but we'll keep you with us in our memories. And, because of that... And because of all you'be done for us, you'll always be there.

The e-mail allegedly doesn't exist, so I guess I'm keeping them. Though it's a struggle, the level of unhygienic handling by you caused it to evolve into organic lifeform and they keep trying to escape the wardrobe and started civil war against my cats. My cats accepted the challenge. It's becoming a real mess here. Luckily I've heard from one of cats they might be signing a peace treaty next week which would finally establish the borders of their realms. I guess socks will want to keep the bedroom though cats will really ask for high price for such sacrifice.

The German client. My name used to be Zedek but I created so many smurfs like this Bard one over the years I forgot to log in into this one and then the name has been released and now is being used by someone else x)

We can see how cluttered it is. The last button on the right ("Lade das Spiel") says: "Download the game", which is weird, because we already have it downloaded in order to see that link... RIOT at it's best :-)

This picture has been taken by me to report it to "ZenonTheStoic", the community manager for the German portion back then to show him that typo. It is the v2 of the older client, the buttons have been refreshed and the terrible menu is now filled with actual content.

To everyone complaining about the new client's lag and whatnot, I have had no major problems with it. I have a Lenovo computer (the one where the CPU is stored in the monitor) and run Windows 8 if that helps anyone. ALSO they've announced that item sets will be returning in Patch 7.10 (patches are roughly two weeks apart for those of you who don't know).

Honestly, i wish they made an icon to commemmorate this client. It's just sad how a better client gets thrown aside.

I started playing League in Late 2013, before we had any of this Fancy Hextech Menus, New Champ Select & Revamped Client. I feel as though I took the old client for granted. I'll never forget those Badge-looking runes, the original Item Set creator, The original Drop down menus for selecting what game mode you wanted to play. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure some of the special game modes featured on the Legacy client won't return until redone on the New Client (Who knows when they'll return though?). This is truly the dawn of a new age, one none of us were really prepared for (seriously, alot of people are having issues with the new client). With that, We'll miss you Legacy Client. Gone, but never forgotten.
