ez wouldn't even benefit that much from an ap phage item. If the phage passive was so op he would be building triforce more than iceborn.

No not at all. That was a phage item that HAPPENED to give ap.

We are talking about an item that procs bonus speed on dealing magic damage or some such interaction. Like a black cleaver for mages. Given the singed context i figured people would figure at least that little bit out

Getting Tear early game is mandatory almost every time. Whether you keep it and build into AAS or sell it for something tankier is your choice.

Except a Dark Seal + Corrupting Potion gives you much more than a Tear does, gives you actual early AP so you can actually fight your lane opponent, gives you really great lane sustain and snowball potential and is generally much more potent. Rushing a Rylai's is SO much better than rushing any Tear-based item, mana is horrendously inefficient on Singed.

I would say that excess mana is definitely not useful, but if you don't have enough mana, it really messes you up. Also, Mana scales into HP with him.

Personally I don't have a "favorite" singed build. On the occasion I play him, if my first back is sub-1200g i go Tear, if it is 1200 or more, I go Catalyst. Both seem really good, but using both Rod and Tear in combination is overkill IMO.

Rod or Tear + Frozen Heart + Rylais -> w/e else makes sense that game seems to work really well though.

Okay, fair enough, it's not horrendously inefficient, but if you want HP... You build HP. RoA MIGHT be good in some matchups, IE, matchups where you absolutely know you won't be able to do anything to them in the laning phase beyond "survive", so something like Nasus or Renekton. But Tear and Archangel's only give mana, mana regen and AP. AP and mana regen are actually quite good on Singed. But he doesn't need too much of it, and a single Doran's Ring can sustain him entirely if you don't needlessly waste mana. The conversion is 25% of mana = HP, right? I don't think a single full-built mana item compares to a single full-build defense item in terms of health given, which is why only hybrid health/mana is at all maybe a good idea to build on him, if you wanna build mana. Sometimes. FH... Eh, Randuin's is generally better if you want attack speed slowing, I find. Maybe it's just me, but you don't really seem to get too much out of mana-focused builds.

You seem to discredit 2 things about Frozen Heart. -20% CDR means you can slow and fling MUCH more often. -Attack Speed Reducing AURA: They don't need to hit you, you just have to be near them. That means that your attack speed slow is useful even if they do not focus you.

Also, I don't know if I would call a tear-free build "Mana focused". Remember dude, Rod of Ages gives more raw AP than any other item once you stack it. Frozen Heart is arguably the best Armor item in the game for value. Deadmans is good as a first generalized defensive item, but since we already would have HP from Rod of Ages in this case (400 at 0 stacks, accounting for passive, and capping at 680 HP when stacked) So Getting pure resists here is actually pretty efficient, since we get another 100 HP from Frozen heart.

At this 2 item point, we have now built: 120 AP 780 HP 90 Armor 20% CDR

This is for 5800 Gold. Since you hate mana, I'll just leave it out.

(1200 Mana)

"Randuins is generally better if you want attack speed slowing" No, not really. Not at all, actually. In fact, Frozen heart applies an equally strong attack speed slow in a 1000 unit radius aura.

That means that if they are in range to auto you, then their attack speed is slowed. simple as that. Done.

Randuins is better and helping you survive adc's, yes. Frozen Heart is better at mitigating their overall damage output.

Also, building full tank on singed is only important if you let them hit you all-out all the time.

Alternatively, you can get some ap and kite them to hell and back with rylais and w, and ACTUALLY kill them.

I don't play singed so feel free to ignore me, but every time I play against him raw speed and kiting potential is his greatest tool making DMP ideal. Also I'd say that CDR is more dependent on if you want more survivability/damage or more cc. Having most of his damage being tied into a toggle means that he doesn't need cdr for sustained damage, and you should only get it if you specifically feel that your fling isn't up enough.
