There are multiple banned episode(s)/segments (regional, specific parts censored to the degree that they might as well have removed scenes altogether, etc) and I mentioned Porygon to clarify which one I was talking about, regardless of the topic as not everything is common knowledge.

Just had a game against an eve. I was support and asked my team before the match to buy Pink wards, I asked my team during the match to buy Pink wards, I asked my team in capitals to buy pink wards. Guess who was the only person buying pink wards.

But what interesting options do Pink Wards offer Eve? It's cool that she can spy it item 3363 by chance, detect it item 3341 before hand, have seen it previously, or if it's placed out side of brush, she can see and possibly skirt around it. I still think there is more they can do to make stealth and finding / being found fun for both parties. Like subtle audio cues in a very large radius around Eve, in addition to her current stealth quirks.

Also, about item 2043 : It's cool that they regenerate and last forever and have True Sight, but the ability to drop them at instant speed on top of a stealth champ Shaco Vayne Twitch is so harsh. :(

It makes it harder for her to gank in any case. Even if she is able to skirt around it she can't freely choose her ganking path anymore, which might make a gank more difficult depending on the positioning of laners.

I like pink wards as they are. You have to place them carefully and sometimes they still get destroyed moments later due to bad luck. But often they are not detected and give vision on a certain area for a long time. The true vision is an additional bonus.

I like them as they are too. My only suggestion would be to add a short 'arming' time before they gave any True Sight, so they couldn't be used as a substitute Oracle's Elixir in the heat of combat.

That said, I would love to see Riot give us some more soft counters to stealth. Riot, please.

Exactly the fact that riot nerfed vision really hurts. As a Jungler vision is key to me especially since no one wards and I need it to contest objectives. I never take red trinket as much as I want to because I know I need the vision more than I need to clear wards.

I agree with you.

I play a lot of jungle and usually I try to clear wards mostly with the Smite-Buff from Raptors, while keeping the yellow trinket. In rare cases I go for item 3711 and red trinket, but thats mostly when our support randomly decides to not buy sightstone. Otherwise I also buy pink wards when jungling and not neccessarily against Eve. I think they are really worth the 75g, although a lot of players (lower elo) seem to disagree with me.

The funny part is usually my pink lasts all game though I have to use it to protect my blue side jungle route from invasion. I got the tip from a jungle video and just having that pink there works wonders for me. However I definitely was able to carry games due to green wards last season because my ward placement usually prevented my teammates from getting ganked an them never warding. If I get a early kill first thing i do is buy my jungle item, a pot or 2 if I don't have it, one item that builds into my upgrade and a pink and usually i don't ever spend 75 gold for the rest of the match.

Yes the pink to protect your own jungle is certainly helpful, but it really depends on the game, where I place my wards. Usually there are two things to consider:

the enemy champion - Shaco for example tends to go for early invades, so a pink to protect a jungle entrance would be good.
the enemy jungler - you just notice after some time, what kind of player the enemy jungler is. Some people almost never invade and then you might as well put your pink ward in another spot.

Apart from that I buy my Pink-Wards when I need them and a different number of them in every game.

This is very neat idea.

There is so much more Riot could do though. So many more unique ways of getting vision and info, and denying it it turn. Imperfect information is part of what makes this game so fun. The thrill of the hunt, the discovery of secrets, the security of knowing you can see them but they can't see you. Like a game of hide and seek.

You know, funnily enough, ive sort of noticed that higher elo players actually seem to be worse at clearing pink/blue wards than low elo players. I assume it has to do with the higher elo players focusing more on the map and on taking the most efficient routes possible in their travels, but ive really been noticing it a lot lately.

Watching high level streamers and game commentary videos and chuckling to myself as these diamond/master tier players just walk right by a bush without entering it, only to find a ward in it a few moments later when they check it after their gank fails. Or my personal favorite, when they do in fact walk through the bush but don't notice the ward sitting in it and just keep on running along their path.

The ability to clear blues instantly is why I refuse to, ahem, "upgrade" to blue trinket. People run through all the bushes, take a fraction of a second to 1-shot them, give 5 gold for free, and you can't even lock onto them for a TP or anything.

You force the enemy to have pinks or a sweeper to clear regular wards and they actually last the full duration, usually. Upgrade? More like "hey, I noticed you were snowballing pretty hard, enemy jungler, have a few extra gold because I didn't really want to win anyway".
