kalista's actually good again though.
https://media.giphy.com/media/L8XuphFGqlSfe/giphy.gif?noredirect I'll admit she's not scrapping the bottom of a dumpster anymore, but she's still trash.
hard to play != bad.
Ryze is hard to play, but has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game, if not THE highest. No matter how many times Riot reworks him, he's still too strong in pro play.
Lee Sin is hard to play, but he's in a similar boat to Ryze. He isn't as strong as he used to be, but he still has an extremely high skill ceiling.
Azir is hard to play, but he was pick-or-ban in the LCS for so long that Riot had to dumpster him. His skill ceiling is still pretty much infinite, but he's a shell of his former self.
Kalista is in the same situation as Azir. Her kit is fundamentally impossible to balance without a rework that destroys her at the thematic level. As long as she can hop, she's too dangerous to be viable.
There are a lot of other hard champions that Riot has had an impossible time balancing, but I would be repeating myself for most of them.
Maybe I'm totally wrong about Kalista. Maybe that small buff a few months back brought her from the absolute bottom of the manure dumpster up to being a feasible pick. Balance in this game is so complicated that you never know what might break a champion.

You forgot to add Yasuo to this list m8.
You clearly didn't read this

Pretty much every high tier ADC main still regards her as garbage.
