As a Karthus main, she's really not that bad to deal with since she has no real way to defend herself from me other than her silence (which is still annoying as hell). Taric and Kindred however are pure hell once teamfights come across.

GP's ult is better. It can zone/slow for a promised kill. Karthus has to wait till they're low and pray the support doesn't have a heal ( item 3107 )

I had something similar happen, only that my team had the fun idea of picking characters who countered karthus-ulti-counters. Not sure if ziggs/brand are always a good botlane, but into sivir/soraka they seem to be.

What if they made Karthus ult like Zeus ult from DOTA 2? Zeus ult doesn't deal a lot of damage but its instant. They could reduce the scaling on his ult and make it instant.

Nah Karthus' Ult is in a fine state atm, Its part of what makes him the hypercarry god he is known for. The channel also gives a nice satisfying feel to it watching the enemy champs panic in the last moments :)
