Yeah, Dota players have a way easier time to start with LoL than the other way round. They might be not as good with the faster pace of fights and trades, since Dota uses way less skillshots etc., but they're way better regarding decision making most of the time. Also, the champs here generally are easier to control since there isn't stuff like turn rate, really long animations for skills and autoattacks, they also know how to play defensive during early so they won't just go for the complete feed. At a certain point this doesn't matter anymore, but I guess it's just easier for them to never get super low elo since LoL is more intuitive than Dota.

I came from the original DotA on Battle.net, and yeah, League was a lot easier for me than most people playing in the beta it seemed.

It was almost unfair.

Those were the most fun times I had in League.

Yeah same here :D I started with playing Dota around 2007 or something like that and tried out LoL during the open beta November 2009. Me and my friends just roflstomped every single player who never played Dota before (even tho most people at this time did play Dota). But the best thing was that there was no meta, there only was "fuck Master Yi, fuck TF and doublefuck AP Sion". Besides that everybody just did what he wanted and had a fun time. Almost no flaming, no blaming, just playing the game and trying out what kind of stuff you could do.

I remember coming from original DoTA when LoL was first starting getting popular and was mad that I couldn't deny creeps or towers. Even better, I played Pandaren Brewmaster and was able to self deny when in ult.

I loved that show way more than I probably should have. Kept telling my roommates there is more to the show than just sex and violence. They didn't believe me but I enjoyed the story.
