That's tough man. I just bought Kled the other day and my IP has fallen down to around 45K.

Did you know you're only allowed 20 rune pages total? I found out. I suppose I can continue to try and buy a full set of all the runes, but Riot seems to want to redo them in the near future so I probably won't bother.

There's some great arguments for not buying all the champions. Why waste IP on buying champs you have no interest in? Maybe just buying the older ones that are slated for reworks on the off chance the rework changes them into something you like? Even that's kind of farfetched.

Ever try to play ARAM on an account that has all the champs? Your opponents are pulling Lux and Ziggs every game and you're stuck with Trynd. Or Eve. Or god forbid Ivern.

Champions are getting discounted when new ones come out, so it's often best to wait to buy them so you can get them cheaper. Nothing wrong with being frugal.

Finally, for climbing ranked specifically, it's often best to specialize in a small handful of champs instead of a wide variety. Why waste all that time practicing and buying half the roster when you only have to learn a few champs for two roles?

Besides, if you earn enough mastery chests you'll get a bunch of champ shards to disenchant and forge with. Whether you like it or not.

They've mentioned possibly having exclusive awards available for people who have purchased certain values of runes once they redo the system. They don't have anything specific planned, but Riot had a post on reddit where they floated the idea of ward skins, summoner icons, etc, up to an exclusive skin for ~100,000 IP spent on runes. So, it might not be a bad idea to go for it.

No faith in Riot. I don't believe their word on things like that. I've been around long enough to know that Riot talks a big game but often doesn't deliver. Magma Chamber was going to be such fun.

Hell, I don't believe Solo/Duo queue or 10 bans are coming. I was here last year when Riot said "Don't worry guys, SoloQ will be back in a few weeks". Who's to say they aren't lying this year?

Well look at that! It actually happened! Riot is now officially 1-1 in regards to their SoloQ promises.

If this was laning phase, they wouldn't be feeding. They wouldn't be in a position to carry either, but at least no one would be telling them to kill themselves yet. Overall a pretty mediocre score; which is a step up in performance.

Bravo Riot! If you can get us 10 bans before season 8 starts, I'd be willing to admit that season 7 is an overall improvement in quality compared to 6. Not high praise mind you, but baby steps.
