Because supports are pretty much forced to take kills if they want an S :)

Nah, you just need to take the most damage, and do the most healing while "getting your own cs" to get gold

That explains why the only S I've gotten as support was Morg and Nami with Zz'rot + Banner of Command. The minions killed by the Voidspawn and empowered minion count as CS.

You also need to be to one to deliver the last hit on towers and inhibs to get a better grade

It really bugs me when I'm alone taking a tower for a full two minutes, and the adc comes out of nowhere, hits it a single time, gets the credit, and walks off.

Depends on the support. Even for Morg or Lux it tends to be more complicated than that. Wards placed make a difference for all supports, and kill participation helps too.
