Psh, when I miss a bush with a ward, I'm just following the pro strategy of Scarra.
If you're a support main, you have to think of wards similarly to how a soldier in real life looks at machine gun rounds.
Or grenades, grenades that help you see things.
2 inches is a big miss. Thats like the length of a whole bush.

How about when it shows your ward in the bush but doesn't give vision... h a t e t h a t. 
It's even worse if you and your teammate accidentally place the wards in the brush at the same time.
