is yorick rework making him worst

planning to buy him but my friend says NO hes getting a rework and his abilities wont be the same as the old awesome yorick and heill be worser and not as OP as b4 but is it true cawse im kinda interested in him becux of his high lane win rate and his awesome poke and i fought him once and hes is HARD!!
