Indecision - how it's holding me back. (Advice plead forum)

I love league of legends. It's a genius game and I consider myself a dedicated player. I'm currently in Gold IV as a top lane main and usually rank up on the days I play ranked, but...I can't help but realize how much I hold myself back by not being able to focus on getting REALLY good with 1 or 2 champs.

I'm not sure what I'm asking here, whether it be for some choices at champions (not too popular, good early game/doesn't fall off late game too hard preferred), or just some advice/opinions to shake some reasoning into me.
