They need to be fixed and protected against. I really don't understand how riot is having this hard of a time preventing this abuse, but until then.

I managed to get back into my game by going thru a VPN client to change my IP address to connect to Riot. I'm not 100% sure whether that was why I was able to reconnect or the fact that I waited 15 minutes before I did it. But it's a potential option to get back into Drophacked games. So find a free client and give it a try and see if it works for you. Good Luck Summoners.

So, you connected back to LOL on the same account through a vpn client?

What if you just change your ip on your machine, did that work?

Well, I never disconnected from the game either. I literally found a VPN client, downloaded, registered and chose tunnel through the VPN and as soon as I had done that I was back to actively playing within 10-20 seconds.

When you did that, were any other players in the game still? Was everyone in game, or only a few?

The way a drop hack works is its supposed to drop all players from the game for about 15 minutes, after that riot servers detect an abandoned game and completely wipe it out.

By somehow reconnecting to the game, you should be able to circumvent the game being removed, because you repopulated it, but due to not everyone knowing to try a vpn, you should have been the onyl person in game at all.

Edit: this is of course assuming you were actually being drop hacked and not something entirely different

When I first connected, I didn't see anyone but then after maybe 30 seconds I saw the enemy Liss and MF show up and start pushing both mid and bot lanes. I managed to inform my duo buddy the game was up again and he also managed to reconnect to it as well. My best guess was that after I was able to reconnect thru the VPN, the drophacker also reconnected to the game with his friend, that's the only explanation I can think of. And I say that, because they were laughing about it the entire time.

I went to http://openvpn.net/ to get my client, you will need to register, but you can do that thru a link in the program once it loads up. I'm sure there are other options out there, so its really up to you. I just googled VPN and that was one of the clients that came up in my search.

Another thing, WHY is it just me and OP even talking here, youd think there would be a tidal wave of people trying this considering the overwhelming amount of "drophack qq" threads...
