Should I Ban Karthus?

With the New VU that came out recently for Karthus (which looks badass btw), karthus is Garen teed to pull inexperienced karthus players into ranked SoloQ. Since karthus is a decently difficult to play, should i ban him to prevent my team from picking him and feeding or just deal with the feed?

(im a bronzie D=)

Even if you ban him, they'll probably just feed on something else yea?

If you want to ban him though, go ahead. Currently he's bugged so that his Q at level 1 has a .6 second cooldown as opposed to the 1 second it's supposed to be. You could use that as your excuse if you want.

The same feeders could be on the other team. It's pretty much a horse apiece. I'm unranked currently, but I was bronze last season and have improved since, so my advice should be pretty right for you. I'd ban in one of two strategies, either ban the champs who are going to counter your pick, or ban the champs who are going to snowball the hardest. If you ban the snowball champs, you reduce the likelihood of the opponents getting a champ who will single handedly win the game. This reduces the game down to champs who you can help deal with if your lanes start falling behind. Banning the champs who counter you helps you win your lane, so you can go roam and help others win theirs. In this tier, making sure you win your lane is key, since that allows you to roam to other lanes and help them out.

Alright, bear with me for a moment. As you've said, New Karthus is badass. This badass visual has a similar effect to the twitch Vu, in which a decently strong champion is rediscovered.

Karthus was always strong. However, his skill entry level isn't too high. If someone on your team gets Karthus, just remember that he is always relevant. If you can help him win lane, do it.

On a side note, never ban out your own team. That means that you'll end up weakening how you and your team play, which is a bad handicap to put on yourself.
